Only scars remain of who I was.
Drawing of Infinite from Sonic Forces, showing his true face.

I really like this character and the idea that, when he got his mask, virtually nothing remained from his past person; he is constantly living the lie, the illusion of being powerful. It’s a bit funny and ironic when you think about how his power is just like the Phantom Ruby: an illusion.
Also, I read a forum post (link here: forum.planete-sonic.com/index.… ); it was pretty interesting and joined my opinion, so I wanted to share it with you. The person (Katos) said that his story was kinda the opposite of the Avatar’s. Both lived the fear of facing someone who’s stronger (Infinite for Avatar, Shadow for Infinite) but the avatar started as a random guy and fought Eggman to finally became a strong hero while Infinite was already a powerful mercenary who gains an artificial power, but tries to ignore a weakness that is clearly shown during his fights. His strength is an illusion and he is beaten by «real» people, which is like a reversed mirror considering the fact that the avatar came over these illusions to gain real power.
Also, thanks to Wila-Chan for her advices about the background. :3
